If you’re curious the brush I used in this piece is called “evolve” and it can be found in the drawing section of procreate’s default brush library. If you have an Apple Pencil you can use pressure sensitivity to determine how transparent the brush texture is, which was hugely helpful when I was doing the gradient. Idk if you use procreate though so I’m sorry if this isn’t helpful to you, but I figured it’d be worth sharing anyway.

That color gradient is so nice to look at! This is exactly the kind of shading and manual gradient I want to achieve, but I haven't found the ideal brushes or technique for it yet, so I often just default to flat cel-shading and the in-built gradient tool. But those aren't close enough to what I really want to learn to pull off.

such a gorgeous piece! i love how the dark maroon contrasts the bright yellow and it really draws the eye to the focal character. im also incredibly fond of the pixelized shading i feel like most people dont do it anymore (which is sad because it looks really really good in my opinion)
