Barbie learns workers rights zine - UK

Made this is 2023 while I was in a shitty warehousing job. I made it spread around the warhouse to teach people how badly we were being treated. Feel free to print out and spread around if you like.

This zine is made for workers in the United Kingdom but more specifically for workers in England.

At first I thought this zine was made with the Working Woman Barbie software (which would have been pretty fitting but perhaps limiting).

Enjoying this fun, casual, aesthetically pleasing and informative zine! A good introduction to worker rights.

The topic really feels like something Barbie (the character) would tackle if she wasn't constrained by the limits given due to being a kid-friendly character and the star of a multimillionaire money-making global franchise. The introduction (pink page) helps make the theme (Barbie) and the message (worker rights) mesh better together, so I wanted to highlight that.

As someone who loves Barbie and is sad to see her often misused by both her own company and people who lash out at everything traditionally femenine, I just wanted to say I really enjoyed your zine and I think you made the character justice.

Enjoy your day.
