oh here, it finally showed up.

these are inspired by Pokemon R/S/E's kinda style, using a limited number of colours from a 15-bit hi-colour palette. less than the DS games and used a teeny bit of dithering too.
if i could then i would output these all as true 15-bit hi-colour but my application only supports 8-bit and then 24-bit.
