By: invader_gvim ~ View Artworks Artist's Comments: I used the hammer at a construction job before it broke. I painted over it. The hammer is still usable despite being broken. It represents the potential to build but also the damage we are capable of doing. The fist was found in the trash which symbolizes the desperation I was going through at the time combined with the hardship that capitalism forces homeless people to endure. The fist also is a symbol of the working class, which I was condemned since birth to be a part of. The base is painted to resemble the hilly landscape of the rural state that I live in. Taken together the piece has the meaning "The workers and homeless of Appalachia can destroy the old world and rebuild a new one." |

Very "cringe"; meaning it's right in your face about what it represents, and not ashamed of it one bit. And with so much story and meaning behind it... truly a master(center)piece :) Thanks. I edited out some of the emotional stuff unfortunately but thats just cus it was so specific that people could use it to find out who I am irl. I really appreciate this and it really bosts my soul. Despite removing the portion that you're talking about i think its so great that you got to see it. The most beutiful part of building socialism is the cringe. I love being cringe. I want to be cringe until I make a better world. :D :D :D :D So much of it basically amounts to helping people unconditionally who are used to being used as tokens. If people weren't so afraid of being cringe then we would all get to live in a better world! I feel so happy that this part of the internet understands that cringe is good.
