Artist's Comments: In 2024 I found myself on the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, right as Hurricane Milton ripped through the Caribbean. I dodged the worst of the weather, but spent a night on a beach where I was treated to a storm's lightshow the likes of which I've never seen before nor since. Non-stop lightning flashes forking through the sky for hours on end, with long distant thunder rumbling over the sea like an awakened monster. |
