Artist's Comments:

A portrait I did of Oscar Wilde, back in June 2026, and featured in a small popup gallery as a protest against an AI gallery at St.Lawrence Market

This was part of a personal limited palette challenge, but it worked out as there is a correlation between Oscar Wilde, the LGBTQ community, and current day and past politics such as the "Lavender Scare", and the current USA administrations' puritanical anti-trans and anti-LGBT laws.

LGBTQIA2S+ and Trans folks especially deserve to live their lives without fear, open, loud, proud, and to be their genuine selves.
