About Me

Technically a furry but don't like to call myself one, but if you want to that's completely fine! I'm an English-Italian Catholic CS student, young woman, and hobbyist artist! I was diagnosed with ASD in 2012, which is probably why I often gravitate to these kinds of more niche spaces compared to my peers who stick to mainstream socials... and why I'm much more into drawing, character creation, and other typically solitary hobbies than said peers, haha!
I like to try and keep things civil and polite both on and offline (especially online), since nowadays it seems like everyone is at each others' throats far more than usual. I usually attribute this (mostly) to the fast-paced nature of X/Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and all these other social medias that are constantly one tap away. I'm hesitant to categorise Reddit like that, because it was the first step I took to learning general forum etiquette and formalising my spelling and punctuation online, but I will acknowledge that it really pales in comparison to actual forums; as much as it was fun being in subreddits pertaining to my fandoms and interests or otherwise random things (e.g. bread stapled to trees), it can absolutely be a pessimistic hellhole that lets you scroll to your doom.
Fun fact: Kiyotaka Ishimaru from the Danganronpa series is the closest I have ever been to becoming a yume. I was 95% sure this man had my heart, and if I had let myself indulge in it I'm absolutely sure I would've gone down the yumeshipping route. Do with that information what you will.

This one is a newer hobby of mine after I started playing Warrior Cats: Ultimate Edition on Roblox more frequently, and later joined the Warrior Cats Online forums, but I'm genuinely surprised I didn't get into this sooner, it's just so much fun playing as your character interacting with other peoples' characters... it's like playing with toys on the internet, and I really love it so far. Admittedly, I've only done Warrior Cats RP before (as you could probably tell), but I definitely look forward to trying out something different in the near future!

Yes, I like drawing... as I mentioned in my About Me, whoops. The subjects of drawing can vary, but I'd say I veer more towards feral animals and anthros. I'm hoping to diversify a little bit e.g. trying out different body types, different face shapes, mechs and other robots, insects and worms, and (probably the most major one) backgrounds and background layout! My current priority is doing reference sheets, though, so that may have to wait a bit while I crank some of those out.

Didn't mention this above, but I do like to play the odd computer game! My current focus is Metro 2033, which was recommended by a good friend of my brothers (and probably a friend of mine by this point), which is quite the change from my usual choices, as I'm not much of an FPS player, but I'm having pretty good fun so far! I'm also wondering if I'm falling behind because Artyom is already traversing a post-nuclear Moscow and shooting down mutated creatures and doing some good old breaking-and-entering... Speaking of my usual picks, that would mostly be story-driven games! My tastes skew toward puzzles and mysteries, which means Professor Layton and Ace Attorney fall right into my favourite spots (Danganronpa might be there as well if it wasn't for the often gratuitous fanservice featured in the games, it's the sole reason why I never picked up Ultra Despair Girls), and yes, I do own a copy of Ghost Trick. Haven't played it yet, because it's in Japanese and I want to learn the language to experience in its original form (same applies to Ace Attorney post-PW Trilogy), but I do have it. It's in my drawer with all my other DS/3DS games.

Me? Read books? ...yes, haha! It's slowed down as of late, since my Warrior Cats Online roleplays and reference sheet drawings have been taking up more of my time, but I'm currently reading A Room with a View, with plans to read Warrior Cats (Firestar's Quest and the Power of Three arc) afterwards! One of my favourite books of all time is Watership Down; I've loved it since I was but 10 years old, and now that I'm an adult I can appreciate the themes of death and camaraderie a lot more. Harry Potter is an absolute classic, although I do have to be a little careful around some of our real-life family acquaintances because of the series' divisive reputation in Christian circles (I myself didn't read any of the books until 2023 because of it). It's an incredibly easy read, and while I did raise an eyebrow at Harry's modus operandi during the Gringotts segment of the Deathly Hallows, I very much enjoyed the series.
