It was a habit of mine for a while to free-hand with basic pens and color in whatever I drew with colored pencils if I decided I liked it enough, so I assume that's what I did with this one. I do agree that it resembles watercolor, though-- which I like and have messed around with as well! I've heard others say that it's stressful, but I like the element of relinquishing control and just seeing what happens when you put it to paper and it finally dries. I've even made abstract art by tilting the paper and lightly dolloping contrasting colors onto color that was still wet :o) It can make a very cool and fractal-like effect if done right. I appreciate the comment on it resembling a Web Graphic of Olde, by the way. Capturing the soul of things of the past is a constant aspiration of mine. |
