I have a few different sonas, but Pepper was the first one that I made back when I was coming out as trans and accepting my neurodivergence, and all that. She does look a lot like how I do irl, especially in how she dresses, and my typical outward identity/personality is very similar to hers. I named her after my online handle, and this year I went full circle and named myself irl after her lol My style has improved and refined a lot since I made my previous reference for her (which is not on melonland but is on mildlypepper), so I wanted to update the reference. I also have been dragging my feet in making proper refs for my other two sonas so I'm knocking them all out now and keeping a similar visual structure for each one bc I think that's neat :3 So far I've done Artemis and now Pepper, and Sodie is next!  fun fact! The color scheme for my site is derived from Pepper's color palette! I try to keep those colors consistent, but I branch out to complementary colors, etc. The palettes for Sodie, Artemis, and the greater Seasons of Tomorrow project are all meant to feel pretty much consistent with Pepper's color palette as a sort of foundation. I try not to limit myself overly much doing this but it's fun keeping within those bounds! |
